The Camino Frances winding through open fields with patches of grass and bushes, leading towards a distant landscape of rolling hills under a partly cloudy sky.

Because you are stronger than you know

For more than 30 years, I lived in a marriage where I didn’t even realize I was being abused. My husband’s drinking, lies, and rage became my normal—and I carried the blame for his behavior like it was my fault.

It wasn’t until the end, when the rage and deceit consumed everything, that I finally saw the truth. Leaving was terrifying. But it was also the first step toward rediscovering myself.

To clear my head and reclaim my strength, I walked 500 miles across Spain on the Camino Frances. Step by step, I shed the shame and silence I had carried for decades. With each mile, I remembered that my life was mine to live, not to sacrifice.

Looking back, I can see how I was conditioned for this role from childhood. As a child, I had learned to shrink, to accept blame, and to confuse love with survival. But that is not love. And I am no longer that person.

Today, I know I am stronger than I ever imagined—and so are you.
That’s why I created Chi9ful: a place for women who have given everything in long marriages, divorce, or loss, and are ready to step into their power again.

Chi9ful is about healing. It’s about resilience. It’s about rediscovering your spark and building a life that feels like your own.

Because you are stronger than you know.
